A Jedi in a Sith World

Okay, maybe I’m not a Jedi. I don’t even know the level of my midi-chlorians. I feel that I’m definitely part of the rebel alliance.

With the recent events, I am reminded of some words of wisdom from the Grand Master Jedi, Yoda.

Watch the news or pay attention to your Facebook wall, you see it happening. We are told to fear something or someone, which makes us angry. Then all you see is people arguing with each other to the point that they wish each other dead.

A few years ago, it was the Tea Party vs the Occupy movement. Both sides hated each other with such a fiery passion. They didn’t even consider the other side human. Of course, the media was no help. They fanned the flames. It was easy stories for them. Sad truth is, if they would have put aside their talking points and had a real conversation, they would of found out they had the same enemy.

Someday, we’re going to learn not to listen to or trust the fear mongers. FDR told America “You have nothing to fear but fear itself.” Then put all US citizens of Japanese ancestry into interment camps.

Seems legit.
No fear there.

For pity sake’s, the San Bernardino killers’ neighbor saw something but didn’t say anything because of fear of being called a racist. Really?! 14 people are dead because you can’t stand being called a name. I don’t care, call me a racist until Jesus comes.
Now Trump is calling to ban all Muslims for even entering the US because of the shooting. This is the kind of knee jerk reaction that needs to stop. It doesn’t help the situation.

We’ve become a nation ruled by fear when we once showed no fear. Collectively, we don’t say or do anything that might offend someone, because feelings.

Speaking of offending people, whatever happened to Christmas carolers? I have no one to give this figgy pudding to.
